Pink teased her Eminem collaboration a few weeks ago, saying that both artists were enthusiastic to work with each other, and now fans have a chance to hear the record in full. Listen to “Here Comes the Weekend.” The new release is the second track from Pink’s upcoming September 18 album The Truth About Love.
Pink and Em apparently like working together so much on his 2010 Recoverytrack, “Won’t Back Down,” that when she needed some assistance on her forthcoming The Truth About Love, she asked the Detroit-bred MC to help her out.
“He said, ‘Do you want to do a song with me?’ ‘F— yeah!’ I said, ‘Do you want to do a song with me?’ and he said, ‘F— yeah!” Handshake. Nothing signed. Done,” she told Australia’s Herald Sun about their deal which led to an “alternative club banger” dubbed “Here Comes the Weekend.”
No I.D. says that he sat down with Eminem to talk about working on new music.
Producer No I.D. has revealed plans to hit the studio with Eminem to collaborate on new music.
During an interview with MTV News, the Def Jam executive spoke on collaborating with the Shady chief, stating that he and Em have sat down and discussed hitting the lab together. He also said that a collaboration between the two would be «Hip Hop.»
«I definitely sat down and spoke with Eminem about working and we agreed to get in the studio and see what we could do,» he said. «He’s one of the best, I want to work with one of the best and try and give some music contributions. I think that would be one of the next steps in that lineage of what I’m trying to do.»
Back in May, Em revealed that he was in the beginning stages of recording his next LP.
