The blonde rapper’s people have come across a bit of a stumbling block in their advanced talks to get the performer involved – and he may not be suitable.

He’s slim, and he’s shady, and it seems he’s possibly not the right demographic for Her Majesty’s parks.

Rapper Eminem is in advanced talks to perform at one of the Hyde Park concerts this summer, but promoters appear to be facing a last-minute stumbling block over his suitability.

Sources say there are potential issues involving The Royal Parks, the organisation that manages the huge site in Central London and demands that the acts who play there are fit for the Queen.

We’re sure the notorious rapper can curtsey if needs be.

However, we’re told: “Eminem is a controversial artist, whose lyrics have been accused of being homophobic, provocative and pretty sweary.

“So there has been some debate about whether The Royal Parks will rubber-stamp any agreement to play there.

“He’s a huge name, and would be a great draw for fans, but it may not be the right image for the parks if he’s effing and blinding on stage.

“Talks are still ongoing, though, and everyone is hopeful he will be able to play.”

A spokesman for the British Summer Time gigs, which are held in the park, declined to comment on whether 41-year-old US star Eminem was their final headliner to be announced.

Other somewhat less sweary acts performing on the bill include McBusted and Neil Young.

Sources also tell us that one possible solution may be for Eminem to perform at a stand-alone show, separate from the BST concerts.

When asked about the potential issues with Em, a spokesman for The Royal Parks said: “We are aware there have been talks with a number of artists about appearing in Hyde Park this summer. The final line-up has yet to be announced.”

He declined to comment on its role regarding the suitability of headliners.
