Hello, stans! This is Eminem.Pro with a fresh portion of our traditional Weekend mom’s spaghetti.

Let us begin with some sad news. Dolores O’Riordan, lead singer of The Cranberries has past away at the beginning of the week, on January 15th. Westminster police found the singer’s body in a hotel room at 9 am local time.

The cause of death is yet to be investigated. The track “In your head” from Marshall’s album Revival has become popular among people who prefer music that intertwines multiple genres. The hook of the track is taken from the song “Zombie”, performed by Dolores and The Cranberries.

Such a colorful combination of styles gave the track and the album in general, that beauty of diversity, which is rare to be found nowadays. Dolores, we want to thank you on behalf of all Eminem fans for this work of art. Rest In Peace. Our condolences to family and friends.

Now let’s move on to less sad news. Worldwide sales of Eminem’s 9th studio album Revival have reached the plank of 1 000 000 copies sold. During the 4th week 99 000 equivalent copies were sold worldwide, this helped to propel the album to the milestone of 1 000 000 copies sold. Revival is now number 4 on the global world chart.

To this moment 1 074 000 copies of the album were sold worldwide. Revival also went platinum in Canada, where fans bought more than 80 000 copies. In Canada Revival strongly holds 2 position on the charts.

Some more interesting statistics: the video to Headlights, which was released in 2013, has reached 100 million views and brought Eminen another VEVO certificate. This is Eminem’s 30th VEVO certificate. Since 2012 VEVO launched VEVO Certified awards to honor videos which have more than 100 000 000 views. Eminem to this date has 30 VEVO certificates: 24 of which are solo videos, 5 videos where Eminem was a guest star, and one video of the Bad meets Evil duet. 30 certificates in total.

In other news. YouTube has bought international rights for the movie “Bodied”, produced by Eminem. The movie tells a story of a student, becoming a battle-rapper. YouTube will hold an exclusive screening of “Bodied” on January 21th at the Sundance movie festival. Visitors can get tickets at the YouTube House reception. After the festival “Bodied” will have theatrical release, and then will be streamed on YouTube Red.

On January 17th Eminem has teased the “River” music video. It’s not surprising. The most successful single on the album must get a video! Eminem announced it on Instagram. We can’t wait to see it!

Eminem’s Grammy week performance at the Irving plaza on January 26th has also been announced. It will be Eminem’s first club performance in a long time.

And for today’s last portion of Mom’s Spaghetti. On January 16th two interviews with Eminem were published in France, both supposedly recorded in December, before Revival’s release, as part of the promo campaign . One interview was published by French radio station SkyrockFM, and the other by French magazine Konbini. In the interview with SkyrockFM Eminem was speaking about the process of making his albums, about Beyonce being guest star on Walk on water, and also gave some advice to the new generation of rap artists.

With Konbini he opened up about his recording process. Answering the question “Who is Eminem today? Slim Shady, Marshall Mathers or someone else?” He responded that today he represents all three personalities and they often pop up here and there in each and every other song.
