D12 releases 'Devil's Night Mixtape' without Eminem

Detroit hip hop group D12 is out with a new “Devil’s Night” album. This time they did it without Eminem.

D12 originally released its debut album “Devil’s Night” in 2001. Eminem produced it and the album featured a hidden song from the rapper called “Girls.”

While Eminem did not have anything to do with “Devil’s Night Remix,” he did record a more than two minute rap introduction after the new album came out. You can listen to that and the new album here. (note: the album and introduction have explicit lyrics)

D12 spoke with VladTV about why they released the album without Eminem. (note: the interview does have profanity in it)

“He tried as much as he could, but he didn’t make it. We could’ve waited for him to go ahead and do it, but we wanted to really just let people know that we’re also emcees, too and we can handle ourselves. We know how to do this s#@$. We need to reinvent ourselves.”

D12 says this is just an “appetizer for more to come.”
