A Book of Essays Examining Eminem's Career Will Be Released in November

Are you prepared to look inside the mind of Eminem? Consider yourself in luck, as a new book of essays titled Eminem and Rap, Poetry, Race: Essays will hits shelves this November. The collection will be an in-depth examination of Marshall’s work and his overall impact on hip-hop culture through his catalogue and the role of race and other factors. The book will be curated by Scott F. Parker and include a foreword from Talib Kweli.

This collection of essays gives his work the critical attention it has long deserved. Drawing from history, philosophy, sociology, musicology, and other fields, the writers gathered here consider Eminem’s place in Hip Hop, the intellectual underpinnings of his work, and the roles of race, gender and privilege in his career, among various other topics.
